San Diego City Council committee approves response to housing shortage Grand Jury report

The San Diego City Council's Land Use and Housing Committee met to discuss a proposed response to a San Diego County Grand Jury report that outlined a lack of housing in the region. The response proposed by the City Council includes implementing all but one of the Grand Jury's six findings and six recommendations to improve housing availability, such as working with religious organizations and education systems to identify developable land, and drafting revenue-generating legislation.
