The median rental price for a one-bedroom apartment in San Diego is $2,460 a month and for a two bedroom it is $3,260. This is much higher than the national median of $1,511 and $1,865 for one and two bedrooms respectively. The rental prices have decreased slightly compared to last year and there is a record number of supply expected to hit the market this year. AB 12 is headed to Governor Gavin Newsom, which will prevent landlords from charging two or three times the monthly rent as a security deposit.
