San Diego County Property Values Soar to Record $768 Billion

San Diego County's 2024 gross assessed value roll hit a record $768 billion, a 5.58% increase from last year, adding $40.6 billion to taxable property value and saving residents over $300 million in property taxes. The surge is expected to raise property tax revenues by $7.38 billion, benefiting local services. San Marcos saw the highest growth in assessed value at 7.46%, while El Cajon had the lowest at 3.33%. The City of San Diego received the largest share of the increased valuation at $19.3 billion.
