San Diego County’s taxable land value rises for 14th straight year, now up to $845 billion

San Diego County's taxable property value hit a record $845 billion, up 4.86% from the previous year, generating about $8.1 billion in property tax revenue. Property tax savings reached $346 million, a 7% increase, benefiting homeowners, disabled veterans, seniors, and nonprofits. Proposition 13 protections applied to 93% of properties, contributing $14.9 billion to the assessment roll. The county manages over 1 million taxable parcels and maintains high accuracy and timely tax roll closure.
