In August 2023, the median sale price of a single-family home in San Diego County was $1 million, up from $969,020 in July and $886,250 in August 2022. The ratio of new houses for sale to new houses sold was 1.9, and time on the market was 13 days. The statewide median home price was $859,800, up 3.3 percent from July and 3.0 percent from August 2022. Despite persistently high mortgage rates and tight availability of homes, there is still solid interest from prospective buyers.
